House Concerts
Music that feels like home!
Melissa D’s house concerts are intimate and meaningful gatherings. They are acoustic performances held in cozy living rooms, backyards, barns, and beyond. Picture a quiet evening among friends, a candle or two flickering, and maybe an old rescue dog snoring nearby while original songs and stories unfold just a few feet away.
These aren’t noisy bar gigs or big-stage productions. They’re personal, connection-driven experiences where every song comes with a story, and every guest feels like they have the best seat in the house.
Melissa offers
House Concerts – a relaxed, storytelling performance featuring her heartfelt and quirky original songs plus a few covers.
Songbird Soundbaths – guided meditation, breathwork and soothing instruments/songs to calm the mind and uplift the spirit.
A Blend of Both – music to ground the gathering, sound bath meditation to elevate it.

House Concert FAQ
What’s a house concert?
A house concert is an intimate show hosted in a private home or cozy space. Guests come to listen, connect, and experience music up close. There is no stage, no barrier, just songs and stories shared in real time.
---
How many people can attend?
Most house concerts range from 10 to 40 guests. The goal isn’t to fill a room, it’s to create a space where people feel comfortable, welcomed, and part of something meaningful.
---
Does the host need special equipment?
Not at all. Melissa can bring what’s needed, but many of her favorite concerts have been completely unplugged. A few chairs, pillows, and an open heart are all that’s required.
---
Can food or drinks be part of it?
Absolutely. Many hosts choose to make it a potluck, wine night, or afternoon tea. This can create a warm, casual environment before or after the performance.
---
How does pricing work?
Melissa offers two main options:
Flat-fee rate (ideal for private or guaranteed events)
Donation-based model (guests contribute what they can with a suggested sliding scale)
She’s happy to talk through what works best for the host and their community.
---
How long is the performance?
Typically, about 60–75 minutes. If blending a concert with a soundbath, the format is tailored to the space and intention of the gathering.
---
What’s a Songbird Soundbath?
Melissa’s signature soundbath experience combines breathwork, guided meditation, gentle songs and soothing sounds, from singing bowls to wind chimes to her own calming voice. It’s a moment of peace and presence, perfect on its own or following a house concert.
